Grotto concert set for Aug. 6

The Grotto, on the corner of Northeast 85th Avenue and Sandy Boulevard in Portland, will present the “Michael Allen Harrison Concert on the Lawn” at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6.

The evening – in the Upper Level Gardens – will feature music and conversation with the Portland pianist and composer.

Cost is $45 per person and includes hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine. Proceeds benefit the Grotto.

The monthly St. Peregrine Mass will be celebrated at noon Sunday, Aug. 7, with a blessing with the relic of St. Peregrine in the Chapel of Mary.

St. Peregrine is the patron saint of victims of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Church offers clothing exchange

Wood Village Baptist Church, 23601 W. Arata Road, is hosting a clothing exchange from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug 7.
