Saturday promises to offer a family friendly festival featuring a dog show, music galore and a farmers’ market in Damascus.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Day in Damascus you and your family can enjoy the following activities in Centennial Park.
Kiwanis Kids Day activities include booths, games, a petting zoo, a dunk tank, bounce houses, a climbing wall, a pony carousel, food, entertainment, a raffle and more.
Each booth is sponsored by a local business or organization, and all proceeds benefit park improvements.
Activities include the Pub 212 Egg Toss at 11:15 a.m., the Damascus Civic Club Candy in the Hay at 1 p.m. and the Cornerstone Funeral Services Water Balloon Toss at 2:15 p.m.
Meanwhile, free stage shows, sponsored by the Damascus Civic Club, will feature the Whiskey Hill Jazz Club at noon; Sunburst Classic Rock at 1:30 p.m.; and Portland Teen Idol contestants at 2:45 p.m.
FIDO – Friends Involved in Dog Outreach – is sponsoring the Bring-Your-Dog Show.
FIDO is a nonprofit organization helping Clackamas County Dog Services upgrade its facility and equipment, provide vet emergency care and ensure that all dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before being adopted.
